OVERVIEW
Death Detective is a short demo for a horror investigative visual novel set in rural coastal town in New England about a detective being contracted by [redacted] herself to track down a wizard before something irreparable happens.
GAMEPLAY
The game plays as a mixture of visual novel and detective/puzzle game. The player will have to acquire information delivered through text, graphics and music, then make logical deductions to find locations on a map, answer riddles, solve puzzles and select the correct options from dialogue trees to gather more clues, uncover more of the mystery, and advance the story.

Riddles with demons!
I really loved the interactive map. The option to get hints for riddles was very appreciated and the option to skip them is a important accessibility feature. That scene with death was my favorite! Character design was also great and fit the mood.
